I’m still lying on my couch typing. We just leased some studio space around the corner from the gallery, and that studio needs a desk. Nearly a year after I first proclaimed my love for it, I remain convinced that this desk would be just perfect for me.
Go ahead, buy my love.

Go for the desk, but run away from that chair. Run away fast.

Great looking desk — as long as you don’t have a computer or phone with wires dangling over the sides spoiling the look. I think these desks are better in a foyer than an office. But maybe you have the discipline to keep it pristine.

That’s a lot of money for a small desk. I say spend a couple hundred and donate some of that money to a needy cause.

I love the shell chairs and the eiffel base too, but I think simpler legs would work better with my dream desk.
Lisa, I am pretty much the antithesis of orderly. I often refer to myself as Pigpen because my persistent, seemingly inescapable penumbra of disorder.
It IS a lot of money for a desk, but I would spend it if a) I could afford to and b) it was practical. Alas, it is neither.

I’m mostly speaking of my own experience. I can’t even SEE the surface of my desk. Instead of buying a fancy antique, I should have gotten something cheap at IKEA and spent the savings on art.
