As I’ve previously mentioned, I registered jenbeckman.com and set it up to automatically re-direct to my actual website. I get email sent to that address as well. However, if you DO email me at that address, and if your email to me opens with “Dear Ms. Beckman” and you actually want something from me, you’re not off to a good start. (Your best bet: “Dear Jen”, sent to the correct address.)

i admit, i have been at or near your gallery with more than one person who thought themselves brilliant upon realizing the jens lekman similarity. although the idea of you two doing a project together is sort of exciting.
Hang in there Jen! Hope all is well!! I hope my recent email about showing a Kate piece came through the sensors correctly. At least you don’t have my mother’s maiden name, Van Hooydonk. Well, you can imagine the variant spellings and pronunciations on that one…

I think you should develop an alter-ego called “Jan Berkman” (a highly-inaccurate but somewhat-comical name). She can sometimes answer the phones for you and be as surly as she wants waving people off when necessary or convenient.

I’m still meaning to visit the gallery but I can’t find it on Beekman place.
I watched The Squid and The Whale the other night, a movie about a family by the name of… Berkman. Mom, played by Laura Linney, Joan Berkman. Timely.
I would like Jens to come do an acoustic solo performance at my gallery, by necessity it would be an audience of a select few. Jen Snow is 100% invited. So is LC. Alex may pour the champagne so long as he follows the dress code. (No mandals, No baseball hats.)
Marshall, one awesome upside of the gallery business: interns! No alter ego required. Although sometimes I do wish I’d cultivated a haughtier more Prada-wearing gallerist demeanor. I’m getting sick of people asking to speak to Jen when I’m the one sitting at the desk, and then not believing that I’m actually me.
Jonathan, Bowery real estate is probably on par with Beekman Place prices now. This is nothing short of tragic. (Seriously, my lease is coming up awfully soon and that’s downright scary.)
The Jens Lekman thing would be awesome.
