Todd Hido's House Hunting is a book I really wanted to buy, but did not. (Regrets, I have a few.)
The most recent Photo Eye newsletter just popped up in my Inbox with some fabulous news: Nazraeli Press is doing a second printing of Todd Hido's gorgeous House Hunting. This is exciting. I really regret not buying the first edition when I had the chance. Buying one now is far too rich for my blood - Amazon currently lists four copies available, starting @ *cough* $1078.08. Ouch.
Dana Miller introduced me to Todd's work (and Todd) several years ago. Todd first showed work at my gallery in 2003 - his photo was the postcard image for Home (for the Holidays), one of my favorite group shows ever. When I was out West for Photo LA, I was able to see work from Todd's Roaming series at Rose Gallery. That was my turn to introduce a few of my LA pals to his work (and him!) and it was also when I asked him to participate in the current show, A New American Portrait.
I won't make the same mistake twice - I'm definitely buying a copy of the new edition of House Hunting. You can too: pre-order a copy through Photo Eye.
