The View (From Where I Was)

View of Chiricahua National Forest: click for big-ass version.
Vacation is already beginning to seem like a distant memory. One of the highlights of the trip, which I’ll post about more later, was a late afternoon hike through Chiricahua National Monument. Amazingness, as you can sort of see from the photo. Ain’t nothing like the real thing! And in this case, you kind of have to see it to believe it. As previously mentioned, I’ve never been to the Southwest before and I felt like I was on a different planet - It’s a drastically different landscape than what I’m accustomed to.
