Krushworthy

The cover image for the current issue of Artkrush is Cao Fei’s UN-Cosplayers, a 2006 photograph of Beijing residents wearing role-playing costumes.
The current issue of Artkrush is all about art blogs. It covers many of the usual suspects, too many friends among them to name, and also uncovers some new-to-me blogs that I’m going to have to add to my reader. (Like I need more blogs to read, oy.)
Team jb gets shoutouts in three categories, fulfilling your Art, Photo and Cultural blogging needs… On the Art Krush Blog List, Personism is included in the Art section and the Hey, Hot Shot! blog is in the Photo section. Then Paul Laster interviews Alec Soth, saying “You recently sided with cultural blogger Jen Bekman’s statement that “just because I’m writing about something doesn’t necessarily mean that I’m recommending it.” Naturally Alec’s agreement with me and the citing thereof was the highlight of the interview for me, but you might beg to differ.
Also getting nods:
- Design Observer is One to Watch. (As if you didn’t know that!)
- We Make Money Not Art is profiled in the Media section.
Incidentally, Artkrush is good stuff and I’m not just saying that because they said nice things about me. If you haven’t already, you should definitely subscribe and partake of other related offerings from the Flavorpill Network.
