Newsflash: being an artist is NYC is hard. Finding a place to live is expensive and challenging - I see young artists being pushed ever further out in to the boroughs, Manhattan is rarely even a consideration anymore. It's not impossible of course, but space once found is often small. Studio space is a luxury practically unheard of if your an independent artist no longer in school. Luckily there are studio space programs, like LMCC's Workspace.
Their next deadline for their 9-month downtown residency program is Thursday May 10th @ 5pm. That's just around the corner, so why not apply now?
