Lisa @ Yancey, Tonight

DJ Booth, South Beach, 2002>/em> by Lisa Kereszi
Lisa Kereszi opens her second solo show at Yancey Richardson tonight. Cheap Thrills captures the more mundane workaday layers of places we go to for entertainment and escapism and turns them into something you can’t believe you overlooked. I’ve always loved her lush colors, and visual aesthetics aside she is devoted to her craft and pursues it with focus and incredible skill.
In an interview over on Cool Hunting Lisa describes her work “I think I’m trying to look at these banal things and to elevate them. I don’t think I’m passing judgement. I think it’s this mixture of love and hate. I walk in and think, “Oh, this is fantastic!†Read the rest and see more images over on Cool Hunting.
