<description>These are all on show in London at the moment - spread over two galleries (White Cube and Monika Spruth, Gursky's principal gallerist.)

There are several pictures of F1 pit crews, which are a real departure from anything that has gone before, and even bigger (6 metres in length). I must admit to not being so sure about them - they seemed like something you might have seen in a high-end F1 calender, not the Gursky I have always loved.

The picture that you post though - of the Bahrain F1 track was absolutely hypnotic. It actually doesn't show the true track - the bottom third of the picture is added in to make the track make no sense at all. It really is an incredible work - seeing it from about 20 yards away, through the window of the gallery I thought it was a painting and even asked at the desk where the Gursky's were being shown. Next to it was a similarly invented picture of the Tour de France. Similarly hypnotic. I think I looked at them both for about 45 minutes before leaving as I thought they might start to get worried...... Looking for the join was great fun. Enjoy the exhibition when it gets to you !
