Who Draws New York?

Hot off the Inbox, this event sounds like so! much! fun!
In a program moderated by Steven Heller, Senior Art Director of The New York Times artists Bascove, R.O. Blechman, Maira Kalman, Rick Meyerowitz, and Edward Sorel will discuss the challenges and joys of capturing New York City on paper.
It’s at The Museum of the City of New York on Wednesday March 21st @ 6.30. This is in conjunction with their Saul Steinberg exhibition City On Paper.
More info is here.
I found out about the panel via DART, the Design Arts Daily newsletter that AI-AP publishes. (It’s a great newsletter, subscribe if you can figure out how to - I couldn’t find the right link.)
Events like this make me so so so so happy to be a New Yorker. I have had the good fortune to be on a panel moderated by Steve, who is so smart and funny and takes his moderator duties seriously by doing his homework and asking good questions. (I wish the same could be said for all moderators and/or panelists!) And jeez, what a lineup. Maira Kalman is my hero. I’m so totally there.
