AFC on Upstarts and Art Fairs

Paddy just ran a terrific two part interview with CANADA gallery founder Phil Grauer which is specifically about how he managed to get his gallery into The Armory Show (by flying to London and cornering members of the selection committee who were at the Frieze fair) but is really more broadly about the challenges and struggles of being a young scrappy gallery in this art world where commerce is increasingly driven by the fairs.
Phil is articulate and passionate and energetic and Paddy asks some really great questions. It’s a good read!
