Introducing the 2006 Hey, Hot Shot! Ultras

It’s been a banner year for Hey, Hot Shot!: We’ve received scores of intriguing entries, gotten loads of excellent press and have made some amazing additions to our panel. Thanks to Alice Wells, the HHS! blog is irresistibly readable and updated nearly daily.

We’re now looking forward to 2007 and the Hey, Hot Shot! ne plus ultra Annual, along with our first ever HHS! Yearbook (produced by Blurb) and another year’s worth of compelling showcases featuring the brightest and the best emerging photographers.

It’s awfully hard to narrow down the choices to just a handful of people to participate in the annual and be represented by the gallery, but I believe that this year’s Ultras are a great representation of the group as a whole and fine additions to the jb artist roster. They are all terrific photographers and excellent people and I’m delighted to welcome them into the jb family. Without further ado, I present to you this year’s Ultras:

The Ultras all participate in the full scale HHS! Annual, opening January 24, 2007, and are represented by jen bekman in the coming year, working towards the goal of a solo exhibition. They’re also panelists for next year’s rounds, helping select the 2007 Hot Shots each season.
