Formerly NYU’s uptown campus, Bronx Community College is where neo-classical Stanford White and brutalist Breuer are a stone’s throw from each other. It’s worth the trip – I visited last Spring and especially enjoyed the Walk of Fame for Great Americans.

HUD-mandated demolition of several historical (and gravely deteriorated) housing projects and the plan to replace them with housing built on the New Urbanist principles which seem to have a chokehold on all NO renewal projects. Slideshow is very good.
