As You Wish
A couple of questions for you, dear reader:
1- My friends who are on the tech/geek end of the spectrum deride me for popping up new windows when I link to other websites. On the other hand, I know lots of people (like me, for instance) who like to keep the page they’re reading on intact even when exploring links. I will defer to my readers on this, so please let me know what you think in comments below.
2- I’ve been looking at my stats and noticing a lot of outclicks to nowhere, which leads me to believe that there are some links that aren’t working. If this happens to you, and you have a moment, please let me know by sending a note to person AT personism DOT com.
3- I implemented a new design a while ago, and while it’s much improved in some ways, I’m not sure that it’s ideal. If you have feedback on it, or if some things are hard to find, or if you have ideas for improvements, either comment below or email me or both!
I’ll be back this afternoon with a more substantive post.

1. most of us in the smart set use browsers with tabs, so popping up a new window just pops up a tab and keeps us where we are.
2. There are lots of automated programs on the web and off that can tell you about web outclicks.
3. The new design is nice… I don’t like underlined links but that’s just me. I wouldn’t mind a bit of color… maybe in link mouseovers?

I used to do the same thing becuase I like to open links in new windows.
Then Firefox came a long and I realized that I could leave it up to the end user.

I am a big fan of links opening up in another window. BIG FAN.

1. I use tabs, and I prefer a separate window be open. Thats just my preference, though.
2. n/a
3. I actually didn’t know you did a redesign. I always read your posts via GoogleReader (and sometimes I don’t read every post.)
