i just feel like after spending $45 that most of the spots will have already been filled by your friends and people you you invited to be apart of the show without actually submitting. My chances of getting a fair shot at actually getting in are extremely diminished. $45 is a a week of lunch and dinner.

I’m curious about how you’re drawing your conclusions. I most certainly do not invite people to be a part of the show without submitting; every single person who has ever exhibited in a showcase has submitted work via the competition.
And actually, no one who’s ever been in an exhibition was friends with me beforehand. I am happy to say that many people who’ve participated have become friends through the process, but in all honesty I’ve only ever been acquainted with people before the fact and the vast majority of particpants are people who I didn’t know at all prior to their participation.
All that said, if you are unhappy, I’m glad to refund you your entry fee. Please let me know your full name and/or your email address and I’ll send you $45 via Paypal before the end of the day.
