High Society, Dahling

Page 14 of the April 26, 2006 edition of the New York Sun featured photos of the SVA Mentors dinner. And who is right smack in the middle? Why it’s little ‘ol me. It’s not Page Six, but a girl’s gotta start somewhere.
The dinner was at the The Modern (the restaurant in MoMA), hosted by the always dashing Stephen Frailey, the SVA Photography Dept. Chair (and a Hey, Hot Shot! panelist). It was a lot of fun, especially since I got to sit with the most excellent Tim Barber, photographer + curator of Tiny Vices fame.
The Mentors’ Show @ SVA’s gallery closes tomorrow (so quick!) It includes work from my excellent mentee Nick Fevelo, and from Jake Rowland, who is a previous winner of the Hey, Hot Shot! competition. For more information check out the SVA Mentors site.
Special thanks to the ever-lovely La Lux for scanning the NY Sun page so I could show it to my mama. (And all of you.)
