Apologia

Certain people deride me for "tiresome 'sorry I haven't been posting' posts". And yet, some other people send me boozy IMs saying "Personism fucking sucks! You have NO POSTS". Essentially they're saying the same thing, but drunken IMs from the Capo of the blogosphere scare me more (sorry, Miss) so I'm going the apologia route.

I'm sorry I've been scarce! Personism will never be a pro-blog juggernaut. A six post day is going to be the exception not the rule, but I do plan to and want to write more than I've been writing. As I mentioned a few days ago, I have a new show opening tomorrow evening, so that's been keeping me really really busy .Once the reception is through, I can return to a much more normal (meaning at least one day off a week) schedule, which will give me more time for blogging.

Thanks to the incredible NYFA, I now have an amazing team of interns to help the gallery gear up for Fall; I'm trying to get them up to speed without scaring them off with my pre-show preparation insanity. (I haven't lost one yet.)

Starting on Wednesday, I'll be doing a 10 day, post-a-day guest blogging stint over on Apartment Therapy, so look for me there.

The intern army is plotting a takeover of the gallery blog, which will mean lots of excellent gallery-related stuff: interviews with artists, news and press updates, etc and so on.

So, bear with me, send fan mail or hate mail, that's fine too, to person AT personism DOT com and stay tuned.

Jen, I appreciate your posts when you do them. I check the space often but I certainly don't expect you to post in any particular time frame. I'm just glad that I get the benefit of your phenomeal eye. Plus, anyone who likes Frank O'Hara is a friend of mine...
