Your Mother Wears a Peasant Skirt

Janice and I have known each other since high school, which was quite a while ago now. We’ve managed to stay in touch, but the socializing happens infrequently. This is pathetic because we live mere blocks from one and other. But it’s a story told again and again in our fair city.
As I’ve recently discovered, reading someone’s blog it a great way to stay in touch with loved ones, all the while sparing yourself from that pesky human interaction side of things. Janice and I are gonna get together real soon now, I just know it, but I was ever so grateful to discover that she has a blog. She has a blog, she is annoyed by many of the same things that I am. Sometimes her inner dialogue so closely resembles my own, it’s downright creepy. It’s a beautiful thing. In that vein I present to you an excerpt from a recent entry, Attention: Your Peasant Skirt Is Ugly:
Digg This Save to Del.icio.us
Ladies, we are only a week into the summery weather, and I am already sick and tired to death of your ugly peasant skirts. I know that it makes you feel very breezy and beach-like to throw on a gauzy, flowing skirt and let it hang off your disgustingly sharp hipbones, then top it with some godawful shiny or spangled camisole top you got at Bebe, but I hope that you will take a look around at the seventy million other women wearing the exact same fucking outfit, and figure out that it is ugly.
